Situated in the heart of Arundel, this grade II listed Victorian building was completely refurbished in May 2012 to combine traditional comforts with the facilities of a modern 4-star hotel.
The town of Arundel is an enchanting place for you to explore. It is famous for its 12th century castle which was once the historic seat of the Duke of Norfolk, the premier Dukedom of the realm. The Swan Hotel itself dates back to 1759 and is a prominent building on the High Street.
The hotels bar, serving the family owned Fuller Smith & Turner Ltd Ale is popular with locals and guests alike. A large range of Real Ales and continental lagers are served.
The restaurant which serves freshly prepared food daily and received a Visit Britain Breakfast Award – 2010. The menu is complimented by a wide range of quality wines from the 200 year old wine cellar.
The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 10:30.
Although the hotel does not have private parking facilities due to its prominent location in the town centre, it is located very close to a public pay display car park. It is only chargeable between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00, and overnight it is free (advisable to put a ticket on your car overnight as it does not start charging until the morning, so then saving you the inconvenience of rushing out early in the morning). There are also numerous alternative parking facilities around the town, some of which are free andwithin walking distance of the hotel.
Check-in after 23:00 is only possible by contacting the property at least 48 hours in advance. Reception closes at 23:00 after which access is not possible.
Please note that extra beds can only be accommodated in selected Superior and Executive rooms, subject to a charge per night.Extra beds should be requested before arrival and are only guaranteed once confirmed by the hotel.

We welcome well-behaved dogs in selected rooms, at an additional rate of £20 per dog and up to a maximum of 2 small dogs. Small Double Room. Each room has a flat-screen TV and an en suite shower room. Not available as family room. Our Snug rooms are warm, inviting, unique and individual with TVs, fine Egyptian cotton linen, and toiletries in en suite bathrooms. Please note, those rooms have limited space and are more suited for solo travellers or short stays. Superior Double Room. Each room is spacious with a separate double shower and a flat-screen TV. Some bathrooms have a bath. Selected rooms can be convertedfamily rooms (subject to availability and upon request when booking). Extra bed needs to be confirmed by property, based on availability. For a little more comfort opt for one of our gorgeous Comfy rooms, which are perfect for snuggling up after a day exploring the town. Luxury Double Room. Spacious rooms with a larger bathroom, some with a deep roll-top bath, andwith a separate double shower. Selected rooms can be convertedfamily rooms (subject to availability and upon request when booking). Extra bed needs to be confirmed by property, based on availability. For a little more space to spread out in, opt for one of our stunning Indulgence rooms. Special and spacious, our Indulgence Rooms also afford you the luxury of a bigger bathroom - some with a beautifully deep roll-top bath, a separate double shower perfect for unwinding after a days sightseeing in West Sussex. Please note that two of these rooms have double shower only. Some rooms can be easily convertedtwin or family rooms, please request this on your reservation. ;
