Fox & Hounds Country Hotel - Chulmleigh

In the glorious North Devon Countryside, perched on the River Taw amid the scenic landscape of the Tarka Trail, this relaxed hotel offers a comfortable retreat to nature.

The friendly country hotel is known for its excellent, traditional food made using fine local produce. Local ciders and Real Ale are served in the bar and you can enjoy a meal on the garden terrace.

The Fox & Hounds Country Hotel has 4 miles of salmon and trout fishing, and shooting, riding and walking are close by. The hotel is a great base for exploring North Devon, Dartmoor and Exmoor. Pets and children are welcome. We are a very dog friendly hotel and dogs are permitted anywhere guests can go, including the bar and dining areas.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:30 and ends at 10:30.

Double or Twin Room. This individually decorated, en suite room comes with a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a radio, hot drink making facilities, a hairdryer and toiletries. ;
Superior Double Room. These rooms are more spacious and have charming antique furnishings and modern appliances. Some rooms have a four-poster bed. Guests can also enjoy teacoffee making facilities and bottled water. ;
Small Double Room. This individually decorated room offers free Wi-Fi and full en suite facilities. ;
Single Room with Small Double Bed. Featuring free toiletries, this single room includes a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hairdryer. The single room features a tea and coffee maker, a wardrobe, a carpeted floor, heating and a flat-screen TV. The unit has 1 bed. ;
Deluxe Villa. This deluxe treehouse sleeps a maximum of 2 adults in the master king-size bedroom and 2 children using slim bunk beds - an additional charge of GPB 30 per child, per night applies. A cot can be accommodated in the room. Pets cannot be accommodated in the treehouse. The treehouse offers self-catering facilities. ;
Deluxe Suite. This is a self catering junior suite with private deck overlooking the garden. Located on the ground floor, it comes with its own access, separate bath and walk in shower. There is also a small kitchen with hob, oven, microwave and fridge. Pets are permitted.
